Topic: Why?

Why do people call Mario JUMPING off a wall a wall-kick. A wall-kick is when you go jump next to a wall and press B therefore doing a wall-kick. I think it should be called a wall-jump because that's what it is. In every other Mario game that has a wall-jump they call it wall-jumping not wall-kicking. Is there a particular reason that it's called a wall-kick?

Logic may not be the strong suit of Nintendo EAD's translators, or wasn't in 1996.

I don't care it. In my language we call that trick "Wandsprung"(ENG: Walljump)
But, i learned to call it wallkick, also the game saying it is wallkick. So it is "Wallkick" tongue
